A first-responder quote starts with the shift, not a form

Build a Life Protection Profile with Lily — what you do on a tour, who depends on the check, housing, and any department or union coverage you already have. When you want numbers, a licensed insurance professional quotes. Starting a profile does not apply for coverage and does not guarantee an offer.
  • No cost
  • No obligation
  • Licensed independent professionals
  • You choose when to talk

Why we do not put a quote box on this page

A real quote needs underwriting facts. A form that asks for a zip code and prints a number is guessing. First-responder work makes that worse: duties, overtime, and whether coverage is already sitting in a department packet change the conversation.

The Life Protection Profile is the intake. It is free and not an application. You pick a time to talk. Nothing is submitted to a carrier until you say so.

What to have in your pocket

  • A rough sense of take-home income, including overtime you can count on
  • Who would be in a hole if that income stopped
  • Mortgage or rent, and any other debts the household carries
  • Whether you have group life through the department, the union, or the hospital
  • Tobacco or nicotine use, and an honest read on your health

Lily vs. The licensed professional

Lily explains and organizes. She will not tell you that you are approved, name a carrier price, or take a payment. The licensed professional handles illustrations, applications, and the back-and-forth with underwriting. AskLily does not bind coverage.

This is shift work, not a desk job

A first-responder week is tones, overtime, and a household that still needs a check when you are on a 24. Life insurers who only see an occupation label miss the duty. A licensed professional who asks what a normal tour looks like — structure fire, patrol, ambulance, volunteer nights — can look at carriers that underwrite that work fairly. I'm Lily, I'm here to help! I help you organize the facts. The quote comes from a licensed human.

Common questions

How fast will I get a number?

It depends on the carrier path a licensed professional uses and on your file. Some simplified paths move in days; fully underwritten files take longer. No timeline on this page is a promise.

Will you call me in the middle of a shift?

You choose the day and time on the profile. Say if mornings after a 24 or evenings after patrol work better. You can opt out of contact at any time.

Does AskLily issue the policy?

No. AskLily is an education and referral service, not an insurance company or agency. AskLily does not sell, bind, or underwrite coverage. If a policy is issued, it comes from the carrier that underwrites you.

Is AskLily an insurance company?

No. AskLily is an education and referral service. Lily helps you understand options and, when you ask, connects you with a licensed independent insurance professional. AskLily does not sell, bind or underwrite coverage.

Does it cost anything to talk to Lily or a licensed professional?

No. There is no fee to use AskLily, ask Lily questions, or speak with a licensed professional we refer you to. If you decide to apply for a policy, you pay premiums to the insurance company that issues it.
